  10. The NSF Network Service Center (NNSC) is pleased to announce second
  11. distribution of entries for the Internet Resource Guide -- this time
  12. of updated entries only.
  13.  
  14. This message is a general announcement sent to the combined FTP,
  15. PostScript and Text lists.  It is also an announcement message for the
  16. FTP (announcements only) list.
  17.  
  18. 1.  Distribution of updated entries.
  19.  
  20. Today the Internet Resource Guide announces 12 updated entries, each
  21. of which is available as a PostScript and a Text (ASCII) file.  In
  22. addition, the ftp help file, "README", and the file-list,
  23. "index-resource-guide", have been updated.
  24.  
  25. The files intro1.ps, section1-2.ps and section 1-16.ps were sent on
  26. Friday, August 28.  The corresponding .txt files are being sent today.
  27. We will send the rest of the updated entries listed here to the
  28. Postscript and Text mailing lists, starting tomorrow, with three or
  29. four entries per day, to avoid overburdening mailboxes.  These will be
  30. followed by "README" and "index-resource-guide", and then by another
  31. announcement and more updated and new entries.

  69. 2.  Updates and Name Changes for Intro and FTP Files
  70.  
  71. As we announced previously, in response to suggestions from several
  72. subscribers, we have changed our filenames so that each "intro" file
  73. is unique.
  74.  
  75. As soon as we finished sending out the current set of new and updated
  76. entries, we will distribute the updated "intro.." files through the
  77. PostScript and Text mailing lists.  Meanwhile, we will keep the
  78. "intro.." files roughly in step with the updated entries so that you
  79. can retrieve them by anonymous FTP.

  81. In the near future, we will announce updates to the tarred and
  82. compressed files that allow you to FTP chapters or the whole guide at
  83. one time.  See README for more information.

  86. 4.  Wanted: New Entries for the Resource Guide.
  87.  
  88. The NNSC is actively seeking new entries for the Resource Guide.
  89. Yesterday, we sent a solicitation the IETF list, and we plan to
  90. send to other lists.

  92. If you know of a resource that should be included, please send a
  93. message to "resource-guide@nnsc.nsf.net" and we will be happy to
  94. send instructions and a template to the address you suggest.
